"Hola! I love to make photos. I love to connect with people and meet folks from all over. I currently reside in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, but travel all over. I shoot weddings, seniors, and stock photography with a creative edge. I am a little crazy, with a touch of creativity. Give me a camera, give me a person and I will make magic happen."

"I am passionate about a couple of things: Photography, Design, and Art. Simply put these three things consume my life, both in work and in play. Even when I am not physically creating, I am always thinking of what to create next.
I have a background in Fine Art and Design, but have been focusing more and more of my attention to photography, after picking it up again about 4 years ago."
Valo Photography
Valo Photography was founded by two Milwaukee Area photographers, Simon McConico and Jake Rohde. Valo Photography offers a fresh look at photography through the eyes of these two artists. The company was formed out of the passion each photographer has for their craft. They teamed up to offer a better product at a better price.
Valo Photography is located in Milwaukee, WI, but we are not limited to the area. We would love to work with you no matter where you are. Destination wedding? Sure. Band shoot in northern Canada? The Name. What does Valo mean?
When working on the company brand we wanted a name with meaning, and something that sounded fresh and light. We went through a lot of names, and Valo Photography is the one we landed on. The word valo is actually Finnish for "light". Light is by all means the base of any photograph. Photographs are made of light, and the art of photography is finding the light, or creating the light, to make images that breathe, talk, move, and capture emotion and life. Every time we press the shutter, we are trying to capture that life in one still frame.
Why Photography?
Many times we are asked why we make photographs. That answer is simple for us. Photography is something we have to do, it is something born in us, it is a passion, it is our lives. Taking this passion and packaging it for others has been an extraordinary experience.
What do we do?
We offer a wide range of services and products. We love to make pictures. Weddings, high school seniors, portraits, personal branding, kids, families, engagement sessions, event, bands, and commercial photographs are a few of the things we love to do. We also have a passion for fine art photography and design. If you are looking for something specific that you cannot find here on our site, or on our blogs, let us know and we can most likely accommodate. If we can't tackle the project, we have a pretty vast network of photographers, designers, developers, artists, and all around visual people that we could tap into and find just the right person for your job. As artists we are constantly refining our focus, but overall we love to work with people, and make great images for you, your event, or a moment in your life that you need captured.
