Maggie – 6 days old
My wife and I had the chance to go visit our friends who were just blessed with a Christmas baby. Maggie is a couple days old and cute as all get up. Plus I am jealous of her room… so cool!

Recently Lisa asked if I would photograph her daughter Brooke… and I was honored. We met at Havenwoods State Forest and ran around looking at things like Uckies and Pretties (not sure on the spelling of those… I asked Brooke, but she just looked at me like I was crazy). We ended the day in the visitors center, where one of the most interesting things was the drinking fountain… who knew…
Lisa works with my wife, and I had the pleasure of meeting Rick a while back. We bonded instantly over the shared love of Tequila on ice with a splash of lime… mmmm so good. Later the same day as the shoot, we headed to Madison for the Wisconsin vs Nebraska game. While we were eating at the Nitty Gritty, Rick and I decided that the best way to get to know someone instantly is to either drink those drinks (tequila on the rocks) all night or climb a mountain past 14000 ft. Either way you will know the people you are with by the next day…
Wisconsin kicked some butt too!
Anyways, here are some of my favorites from 2 year old Brooke’s photo shoot!

Today my wife Catherine and I got to meet our friends new little baby… Finn. I love the name and love how cute he is. It was also great to see our friends Kristin and Joe. I can tell Finn is going to be an awesome little dude, as well as a handful. He is already on his way to an extreme sports title, breaking his collar bone during birth. This guy is going to make everything an adventure… which is fitting, since he was named after Huck Finn himself. While we were there, I got to make a few photographs of Finn and the family. Even their dog, Lennox, came over to help care for Finn…
Congratulations Kristin and Joe!

Simon and I were lucky enough to photograph the very lovely and cute Maliya while we were up in Minneapolis just last weekend. She was awake and moving around most of the time, which her mother said was unusual. She said most of the time she is still and sleeping. This was good since we could get some shots of those big eyes, but also a bit more difficult since she was moving about… There were a couple shots we had to scrap because of all the movements, but all in all I think it turned out well. Take a look at some of the photographs I made:
