Cream City Milwaukee Wisconsin Photowalk April 17, 2010

Every month a group of photographers and photo enthusiasts all get together for what is called a photowalk. We all met online many years ago on the site called Flickr, and have been doing a monthly photowalk for a while now (I think 2 years)… I think it is very important, no matter what you are doing, to get yourself around other like minded people, and share. That is what I love about these walks; sharing, learning, and just having a little bit of fun. I shot a little video at our destination meet-up “Miss Katie’s Diner”. A little behind the scenes of one of the walks… enjoy.

So I was looking over at my partner Simon McConico’s blog, and saw that he was talking a bit about the company and how we met. So I took a look back at some old photographs and I think I found a photo from our first meeting:

There he is in the back left corner of the photo. Also in this shot are good friends Paul Sparks (front left) and Chris Hemmerly (back right)

As Simon mentioned in his blog, we met at a local photographer get together coined the “Cream City Photo Walks”. They are a ton of fun, and there is always someone new to meet. If you live in the Milwaukee area, you should check it out. Every month we meet, talk, photograph, walk a bit, maybe have a drink, and always have a blast. More details can be found at the Flickr group page for Cream City Milwaukee Wisconsin.

I am very excited to be working with Simon in this new venture. It will be fun and challenging. I think our pure love for the art of photography will see us both through any challenge we have. The air feels fresh and clean, full of kinetic motivation.
