Erin and Hobbes – A Morning on the Farm
Spent the morning with Erin and Hobbes at Seoul Creek Farm in West Bend Wisconsin. A candid lifestyle story… this is the type of portrait session I love…

I have known Dana for quite a while, and always seem to run into him at Milwaukee tech meetings and social events. He runs a tech company called dfco, and they find their passion in new media and web technologies. It was an honor when he asked Simon and I to make some photographs of him and his business partner Lance, while he was in town. Dana is also a huge cycling fan (so am I) so I was pretty stoked when we showed up and found out he and Lance had rode their bikes to the shoot and wanted to use them in some of the shots. Anyways, check out some favorites from the set Simon and I made for dfco.

Kate contacted me to see if we could get together for a little portrait shoot with her and her man Nick. They have been together for a while, but are currently living in different states. Long distance relationships are tough, and they wanted some photographs together to make those times apart a little less taxing. A little reminder of how happy they are when they are together… and I have to say, these two are very happy when they are together. We met them down at the Milwaukee Art Museum a little after sunrise, and here are some of my favorites:

I have known Tracy and Devin ever since high school. They were never together in high school, but after they were both out of school they re-connected in their hometown of West Bend (which was also partly my hometown as well). It was so much fun to be able to photograph their wedding. Photographing a friends wedding is an amazing thing, and in this case I got to shoot a wedding for two friends, at the same time. Sometimes when friends ask me to shoot a wedding they are afraid that I will not have fun at the wedding, and I will just be working the whole time… However, that is just the opposite for me. I have more fun behind the camera than I do anywhere else… so, put me behind a camera, PLEASE!

Bai was a ton of fun to work with. She was looking for something different, something a little rock star… Wanting something a little bit different, I thought I would play around with some heavy edits. Playing with light mixed with some post processing. This is way more than I usually do with a photograph, and it was more for fun than anything… The rest will probably be more photographic, and less post, but I thought I would share my experiment here.
