Buster and Amy – Milwaukee Engagement

The very fun Ms Shanon – future nurse – high school senior:

I am a little tired as I write this post tonight. So it is going to be short. Emmanuel, Simon and I ran about Milwaukee a while back, making some images, and having a good time. One of my favorite parts about photography is the people you get to meet and interact with, being that other photographers, creatives, models, clients, or people you meet on the street… It is so enjoyable to meet and work with new people. So here is Emmanuel…

Yesterday Simon and I had a photoshoot with the lovely and talented Amber. We were shooting a TTD or Trash the Dress session, and lets just say things did not go the way we wanted them to, but overall things went well in the end. The weather was the main driving factor in things not going so well. It was about 30 degrees and snowing… Spring in Wisconsin is a little odd. Our model Amber was fantastic though and put up with the conditions, I think she might be made of steel. She just kept going, in a strapless wedding dress… Big props to Amber. Also a big thanks to Kristin Lindemann who did the makeup for the shoot and Amy Haubrich who did the hair. These two women are awesomely talented and a ton of fun to work with. Along with the weather there were also a couple major technical glitches, which meant we lost our power source for the outdoor lighting, so we had to improvise and work with what we had.
Here is one of my favorite shots from the day:

So I have been going back and forth about the “Photo of the week”. The more I read and listen to people about business, the more I hear that blogs and sites should only be about a specific thing. So in my case the blog and the site should only be about one thing, a narrow focus into photography, such as wedding photography. So I took a break from the photo of the week, and was concentrating on focusing 100% of my thoughts on wedding photography. But the more I think about it, the more I really love the photo of the week. I love having something to share each week, and I love having something different to do and share… So I think I am going to keep the photo of the week going. I am going to try and make this blog a bit diverse, since I love to shoot a wide range of subjects. I think it will show a larger spectrum of what I do. Our main site will be a bit more focused, but here on the blog, I am going to roam a little, post things I love, things I am working on… Including the “Photo of the week…” So with all that being said, here is this weeks photo:

This weeks shot comes from a shoot that Simon and I did last weekend with Emmanuel. We wandered the streets of Milwaukee and created some nice images. I am currently editing the shoot, so look out for some more of Emmanuel soon…
Let me know what you think about the “Photo of the week” I would be interested to hear what people thought? Should I keep it up?
Simon and I photographed Shawn and Cassie last weekend for their Engagement Session. We wondered around the streets of Milwaukee for a while, talking, making some awesome photographs and having a great time. Shawn and Cassie were really fun to work with, up for anything, energetic, and truly just nice people. Oh and it was also obvious that they loved each other deeply, and I think the images show this pretty well. So enough out of me, take a look at the lovely couple Shawn and Cassie…

Big thanks to Shawn and Cassie for having us be a part of their journey together…
