To sum up this wedding in one word: Happy. Anna was the happiest bride I have ever had the chance to meet and photograph. The friends and family that filled the Astor Hotel were also the happiest people I have ever seen. It was a splendid happy day, from start to finish.

Meaning of “Sara” – Princess. In the Bible, Sara was the wife of Abraham and mother of Isaac. Her name was originally Sarai (quarrelsome), but God commanded that her name be changed to Sara before the birth of her son
Meaning of “Chris” – Diminutive of Christian: Follower of Christ.
Together a Christian Princess… sounds pretty good to me. In the short time I have known Sara and Chris it seems to fit. Their smiles and laughter are more than warm, they are as genuine as it gets… and they didn’t let up for a second during our engagement session with them. I can not wait to photograph their wedding in just a few months.

Benno has been a big part of the Wisconsin State Fair for 25 years now. Concessions, Micro Brews, Wine Bars, and more… along the way he has made a lot of great people. In celebration of his 25th year at the State Fair, a party was thrown in his honor. Simon and I set up a Crazy Booth, and rocked out with everyone for the celebration. It was a ton of fun, and here are my favorite shots:

Mr Simon McConico and I met up with Lilly and her mom in the heart of some crazy Milwaukee summer festival traffic/lots of people. We wanted to shoot a little down by Lake Michigan, and then head out and shoot some urban scenes. Anyone from Milwaukee knows how crazy the Lakefront gets in summer. We finally got to a meeting spot and didn’t waste any time… the light was perfect, golden, and waiting for us. Lilly was a lot of fun to work with, and her mom was very cool as well. I think Simon hit the nail on the head with this quote: “If I didn’t have to eat, I would do this for free”. So very true…
