Tucked away in the woods, warm and cozy, two of the kindest souls I have ever had the pleasure to meet celebrate the first day of their lives together. I was lucky enough to be there to capture the day…

Jason, now that your wedding is over, you are free to grow the most amazing mustache that has ever been grown…
Kate, I am sorry about that.
We met Kate and Jason last November, and Jason was working on a killer stash for Movember. Simon and I, of course, tried to convince him to keep growing his mustache until the wedding… and I think that almost lost us this wedding
Kate and Jason heard about us because Kate was in Liz and Dave’s wedding… which I had the honor of shooting about a year ago. It is such an honor when someone that works with us on another wedding or project hires us for their own wedding or event. It means a lot and I think it speaks to the experience and product we provide.
Jason shaved for the wedding, so he looked good. Kate needed nothing, she already looked good and was ready to go. Take a look at some of my favorites from their day:

Ashley and Evan met at Vitucci’s while Ashley was working there. She used to stand by the bar smoking and drinking. As it turns out, Evan thought this was pretty awesome, and Ashley caught his eye while he frequented the bar on the nights she worked. Turns out Ashley original thought Evan was kind of a jerk… for some reason. But as he persisted to visit her while she worked, he warmed up to her and now they are getting married. We wanted to hit up Vitucci’s to end our session together… so we started over at the Harley Davidson Museum, which ended up being an awesome spot to shoot. We were planning on heading down to the 5th ward for a bit, but we fell in love with the museum grounds, so we just stayed there. We did end up crossing the street to shoot in a parking lot (which was freaking amazing). I love when people are down for anything and trust us when we say… “We need to cross the street to shoot in that parking lot”… Simon and I saw some trees and amazing light! Which is why we wanted to go over there… not because of the parking lot. Then we ended up at Vitucci’s for a beer and to make some photographs at the bar where they first met!
Amazing light, amazing couple, and I can’t wait for their wedding so I can taste some Grandpa Fro’s Invention Farm & Country Winery Earl Grey Mead.

The day’s schedule was tight, and we didn’t have a lot of time for the family formals. So I set up an impromptu photo booth at the reception so we could grab a few more group shots. Whenever you mix a photo-booth with Valo, though, you always end up with a Crazy Booth!

The night started out with casual human pyramids, which quickly escalated into a more formal and much more serious round of human pyramids, ending in an epic 10 person pyramid with no one else but the bride, Gretchen, on top!

Leah and Peter met us at South Shore Park, Boston Store bag stocked full of outfits, ready to go. I could tell I would like these guys right away… they were super chill and ready to go. These guys met playing E-bags… as in the video game version of the popular lawn game, bags… at an all girl punk band concert… at Y-Not 3. That is AWESOME! We chatted for a few minutes about life, Boston Store, and shopping. Leah and I agreed that while sweater weather is awesome… we were not quite ready for it yet. Then Peter laid down this gem: “Baby, when we get married, your Boston Store bag will always be full…” haha! Smooth and amazing! Simon and I were quick to comment: “And your bank account always empty…” After a quick chat we hurried on our way, because this time of year the light does not like to stick around for long… which I dislike… but the light we did get to play with was awesome.
Here are my favs from our shoot:

Ok… so there is a lot of images below… just a warning… but if you take a look here are just a few things you will see:
- The largest bouquets I have ever seen… and AWESOME!
- An amazing vintage inspired dress that looked so good at the Pfister, I almost fell over… wait, no, I did fall over.
- Dudes stuck in a nursery… with miniature chairs and all
- Bride and FOB high five before the wedding
- Limo Miller Lite throws
- Awesome portraits at the beach
- The best cake cutting ever… Cake/Cut/Kiss combo… and a strong arm to cut through the thick bottom layer
- A full on DANCE PARTY (see video at the end of the post)
Congratulations Matt and Marie!

Oh yeah… so one of the brides maids was also in our Saturday wedding… two weddings, two days in a row, both at the same location… we rocked both of them… and so did Maria! Maria and I decided to make an identical (or as close as we could get) photograph each night… Same place, different dress!

And one last thing…
