Andrea and Josh – E-Session

Oh people. I love people. I love their stories and their journeys.

Any ways… Andrea and Josh and I met up for their engagement session on a chilly Saturday morning at Grant Park. We wandered around a bit and took some photos as we talked and traded stories about breaking things. Mainly bones. I am excited to shoot their wedding next year. It’s gonna be superawesome!

Maren and Craig – Sneak Peek

Ooo… Maren and Craig are such a cool couple and had such a lovely wedding. Rocked the Wisconsin Club for the reception which is super beautiful. Gonna have more for ya to check out soon!

Nick and Dana – Madison Wedding

Nick and Dana. Hmm… where to start. I love these two.

Our wedding clients are not just clients. They are not just a number, they become friends. I don’t know how many times I have had to drag Jake away from a reception because all he wants to do is hang out and shoot. By the end of the night our “clients” are friends. We met both of these guys at Matt and Krista’s wedding that we shot our first year as Valo. We hit it off and they decided they wanted us to shoot their wedding. From there we rocked their engagement session before Kevin and Sarah’s wedding that was at the Orpheum as well. From there Nick and I have had many Facebook conversations and I feel like we got to know each other before their big day.

The day came and I couldn’t wait to get up to Madison and get our shoot on. The whole day was a blast. Nick is a super caring person and Dana is too sweet. That mixture creates electricity when the vows are said, when the speeches are given, and when the first dance is over. I enjoyed myself, being able to do what I love for people who are in love. Take a look at their photos and show them some love.

They totally stumbled upon this violinist at a farmers market and thought she would  be great for their wedding. Always thinking.

Looooove this shot

LOOOOOVE!!

Matt and Krista! Loves seeing you.

There were lots of random people who came up and asked to have their photo taken with Nick and Dana. I am pretty sure this group was visiting from somewhere in Asia.

So many people walking, this shot was fun to get.

Nick and Dana, it was a pleasure to shoot your wedding. Love you both!

P.s. Nicole and I are showing some stuff at “KNICKknack” at the Stonefly Brewery this weekend. Come on out and check out our stuff:

Erin – Senior – 2010

Soooo many seniors. Soooo many awesome people. I have one of the coolest jobs ever and get to photograph and chat with so many great folks. Erin and I chatted a bit about concerts, driving, and getting done with school. She had some great style and we got some super fun photos in the 5th ward of Milwaukee.

Justin – Senior

Justin had an idea. He wanted to rock some photos in a super cool swank lobby of the Hyatt Hotel downtown. He gave them a call, got permission, and it was on like Donkey Kong. We got some sweet pics there then ran around outside for a  bit. Check out his photos.

Samantha – Senior

Sometimes you have things planned and they go wrong, other times you have things planned and they go even better than planned. I was planning on shooting in the fifth ward with Samantha, which we did, but we also got to shoot in a pretty cool club, which was not planned, but was super cool.

Check out her photos:

Alex – Senior

I’ve known Alex for quite some time. We have talked photography back and forth for about two years. From lenses to lighting, we have talked about lots of stuff. He contacted me for his senior photos and we rocked and rolled. He plays tons of beach volleyball at Bradford beach in Milwaukee, so we decided to do some photos there. Check out his session.

Kelsey – Senior

Hola! Things are still crazy at Valo, which is good, but is an interesting time as well. TONs of senior shoots have happened and are coming up as well. So much fun and always a good time.

Kelsey met me downtown and we ran around shooting photos all over the place. The light was great in Milwaukee and we worked it for all it was worth. Check out the photos.

Emerie – Trash The Dress – Chicago

Oh man. I really hate Chicago traffic. I have learned that google maps times do not always translate into real world time. I pulled in about 45 minuets late to the shoot and felt so horrible! We got to shooting right away and I totally forgot to pay the meter. Gah! There goes money down the drain.

We rocked some photos down by the lake and as we got back to the cars the light started to go down. It was actually fortunate that I came late because we got some really cool photos in the evening by Lake Drive. Enough rambling, here are the photos.

P.s. Things are CRAZY at Valo right now. Lots of weddings and photo shoots. Balance is key and tough to figure out. Thank you all so much for being such great customers/blog readers/people!

Ashley – Senior

Ashley was all smiles and very excited about rocking her senior photos. She had seen lots of her friends photos and was ready for her own. We met down by the lake and shot some photos around there. The light was fantastic and the breeze was cool. From there we went around town shooting some urban grunge. We got some super sweet photos and I feel sorry for her mom having to order ;)
