Ciera was scheduled to get her photos taken about a week ago, but then it rained. That is the downside of living in the Midwest where it rains, where there are mosquitos, and where it is muuuuuugy! We rescheduled and got a fantastic day. We rocked photos at Dr’s Park, which is really sweet. Check it out if you haven’t. It is tucked away and has a nice little beach on lake Michigan. Check out some of the photos we took.

This is her Twilight photo. She yelled at me for not seeing the movies or reading the books… Sorry?

DAAAAAAAAAAANG!!!! I hate having fun on photo shoots. Wait. That’s a lie. I do, however, hate all the “Fests” that take up some great spots in Milwaukee. We were going to be shooting over by Discovery world, but we ended up moving around quite a bit. In the end, it was super worth it and Lilly rocked the photos. Nuf said. Check out the photos!

Oh my. Gorgeous location? The Pfister Hotel for a Milwaukee Wedding . Beautiful bride? Yuh. Great details? Uhm hmm. What more can a photographer ask for??? Crazy groomsmen? Now its a Valo wedding.
Joe and I met through Twitter. @blatzliquor and I, @simonmcconico started following each other (That still sounds awkward even though Twitter is a lot more mainstream now). I frequented his store (They have lots of tastings, wine classes, and great people) and when he got engaged, I, naturally, enquirer who was going to shoot his wedding. We met to talk about their wedding and I got to meet his beautiful bride-to-be, Claire.
Time goes by and the wedding day comes. We started out at the Pfister Spa shooting the ladies getting ready and details. From there we left to get some peoples married at Old St. Mary downtown Milwaukee. They got hitched and we hopped on a Trolly, swung by the Blatzs to pick up some beverages and then ran around downtown to take some amazing photos.
There are so many photos that I decided to do this in two posts, so this is where I leave you to look at photos and wait for another day or so

I love shooting outside. I don’t love Mosquitoes though. They are dumb. I have a sister. This is not her. It is the sister of Drew from “The Drew and Vanessa Wedding Show” (also known as my blog). We rocked some photos. Love. LOVE. the one of her standing in the tall grass. Reminds me of a magazine or something. Anyoldways. Look at them. Enjoy them. Comment on them.

LOVE

P.s. How was your 4th? I hung out with my grandma and celebrated her 80th. That is coming to the blog sometime soon…ish.

Dang. Rain. Dang. Nicole and I had some rain on the morning of our wedding, but the sun came out before our ceremony. Drew and Vanessa were not so lucky. People say it is a good sign to have rain on your wedding day, but it is tough to be positive when it’s raining and you want it to be nice out. These two were smiles all day and it was such a pleasure to be able to photograph them. It was pouring out and we finished up shooting outside and were looking for a coffee shop that was open. We went to the first one that was on Google Maps and it was closed. I saw Sendik’s in the mirror and though out loud to Jake, ” We should go shoot in there.” To which he replied, “Heck yeah!”
We made our way to the store and ran though the rain with our cameras and started to shoot. Lots of fun looks and congratulations were sent their way as they modeled up and down the produce aisle. It was super fun and here is one shot that I got that I will show you… Gotta wait for the rest (Which is actually about seven shots stitched together in Photoshop to a total of 60in wide x 13in tall).

P.s. Click on the photo twice to see it larger (still not as large as the original file, but it is still pretty big.

I love old things. I love Polaroids. I love vintage furniture. I love my Grandma. Granted, there are different levels of love (Obviously I love my G-ma a WHOLE lot more than any furniture, but whateva), but I love vintage. With old things you can see the lines and scratches. You can look at something old and know that there are so many stories behind it’s travel through time to today.
With my love of old things, Caroline and Roy’s engagement session might just be one of my favorites. I love when people get dressed up and do a shoot right. It took a little finessing to get everything in the same place at the same time, but we finally got a date for the shoot where we would have the car, the restaurant parking lot, and the shooter and shooties. We went and shot in the Night Owl parking lot right next to the Milwaukee Airport and then drove a little bit and shot by some huge power line towers. Dang… I love these photos.
Blah… enough rambling. More photos.

A HUGE thanks to Shaun who let us use his sick car for the shoot
